Located at the northern most tail of the Georgia Wine Country, the Vineyards located in Rabun County continue to capture the interest & palate of wine connoisseurs from around the world. Our grapes celebrate the unique balance of a clay-like soil resembling that of the prestigious Italian Piedmont, the elevated rolling terrain of our neighboring Great Smoky Mountains, and a year-round moderately moist climate.
With European grapes thriving in Rabun County, our vineyards fortunately grow both red & white grapes. Some of the variety of grapes grown in Rabun are; Cabernet Franc, Touriga Nacional, Tannat, Malbec, Mourvedre, Tinta Cao, Norton, Viognier, & Petit Manseng.
Regardless of what flavors you are looking for, you will be very pleased with the profile and body of our locally crafted vino. Trust us, it is well worth the drive.
Noble Wine Cellar, located in downtown Clayton, is the tasting room for local winemaker Jabe Hilson. Along with wife Barbara, they feature tastings of Noble Wine Cellar wines as well as an ever changing selection of Georgia made wines from around the state. The tasting room is also a Georgia made and Georgia grown store.
Jabe began his career in winemaking at Tiger Mountain Vineyards in 2007. It was there that he developed a love for the craft of winemaking. “I’d never had the opportunity to work with something from start to finish like that before. You gain a real connection to your product.” With the Noble Wine Cellar label Jabe works with local grape growers to ensure that he is able to have the best available fruit for winemaking each year.

Dine in rustic elegance overlooking the vineyards at Tiger Mountain Vineyards Red Barn Café , open on week-ends from May through early November. The cafe is open Friday and Saturday nights for dinner, as well as Saturday lunch and Sunday brunch. Stonewall Creek Vineyards is a small artisan vineyard and winery focused on growing exceptional grapes and making fine wines in the North Georgia mountains.
Located south of Clayton in a pastoral mountain valley at an elevation of 2,200 ft., our vines benefit from warm summer days and cool evenings and ancient mountain soil deposited over millions of years from nearby Glassy Mountain and a meandering Stonewall Creek. We planted our first vines in 2005 and released our first wines in 2012.
Our wines are dry with a sweet white scheduled for release Spring 2015. Stonewall Creek Vineyards label – Grapes from our vineyards (Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Petit Manseng, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Tannat). Standing Deer Cellar label – Grapes from The Stack Farm nearby (Norton and Petit Manseng).

Tiger Mountain Vineyards wines are 100% Rabun County, Georgia grown. The winery owners, John and Martha Ezzard, John and Marilyn McMullan are native Georgians.
Tiger Mountain Vineyards, our own award-winning local winery, located 3 miles from downtown Clayton on Old Highway 441 (South Main Street) just north of Tiger, recently celebrated its 10th Anniversary of providing both red and white – and now a rose’ – all Rabun County grown and produced!
The vineyards, planted on the Ezzards’ five-generation-old family farm, are nestled on a hillside high up in Rabun County, on the rocky, sunny slopes of the North Georgia mountains. The approximate 10 acres of vines are individually tended and the grapes hand-picked for quality. The red wines are barrel-aged 18 to 24 months.
The tasting room open seven days a week, offers wine tastings and cheese; enjoy a picnic or a stroll in the vineyard to take in a view of Tiger Mountain. Visit the vineyards and the tasting room, both open year round.
